MEET TOMMY!
Who is this guy?
Tommy is a first-generation Iowan who has fallen in love with the state and sees the potential it offers for the next generation. He moved here in 2017, and he is currently a commissioner of the Poweshiek County Soil and Water Conservation District, the director of a local food business called Grinnell FarmToTable that sources products from 35 local farmers, and Rural Organizer and Educator with the Iowa Farmers Union. He grew up on a 2-acre vegetable and egg farm in the mountains of Central Virginia. He is experienced in rural development, food and farm issues, and policy creation. He takes great pride introducing people to Iowa and loves to explore the small towns and backroads of Iowa with friends and his 3-year old German Shepherd named Echo, and he is training for a marathon in his free time.
